The Auxilary was formed in 1937 as a social Committee to aid the Ryde RSL Sub Branch.

In those days it was to support the Sub branch with aid to Returned Soldiers who were injured and also their families or widows.

Now the Auxiliary also helps the Sub branch by providing afternoon tea on ANZAC Sunday and providing money for the Sub Branch when doing Welfare work. They're also involved in supporting the RSL Welfare and Benevolent Inst. which looks after all Ex-service personnel and their families in need but mainly caters for old WW2 Veterans and Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans.

Money raised comes from bus trips, bingo, lunches after the monthly meetings, raffles and a stall in the Club Foyer. Special Days eg. fashion parades also support the Womens Auxilary.

If you're interested in joining this worthwhile Auxilary then you are most welcome. As well as working there is a lot of social interaction. Meetings are held at 10am on the last Wednesday of each month. Cost is $5 per year and $4.95 for a badge when joining.
